Configuring iCloud Calendar

Connect your Apple iCloud Calendar using CalDAV protocol for automatic availability sync.

App-Specific Password Required

iCloud Calendar requires an app-specific password for security. We'll guide you through creating one.

Setup Process

Step 1: Generate App-Specific Password

Create a secure password specifically for AcaMeet to access your iCloud Calendar.

  • • Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in
  • • Navigate to "Sign-In and Security" → "App-Specific Passwords"
  • • Click "Generate Password" and label it "AcaMeet"
  • • Copy the generated password (you'll need it for Step 3)

Step 2: Access AcaMeet Calendar Settings

Navigate to the calendar integration section in AcaMeet.

  • • Go to your AcaMeet Calendar Settings
  • • Select "Connect iCloud Calendar (CalDAV)"
  • • Choose "Apple iCloud" as your provider

Step 3: Enter Credentials

Use your Apple ID and the app-specific password you created.

  • • Username: Your Apple ID email address
  • • Password: The app-specific password from Step 1
  • • Server: caldav.icloud.com (automatically configured)
  • • Click "Connect" to establish the connection

  • Cross-device synchronization
  • Automatic conflict detection

Troubleshooting

  • • Ensure two-factor authentication is enabled
  • • Verify the app-specific password is correct
  • • Check that CalDAV is enabled in iCloud settings
  • • Wait 5-10 minutes for initial sync to complete
